Last week KNBR host John Lund sounded off on the Las Vegas Raiders for how they treated his co-host and former Raiders play-by-play voice Greg Papa.
Papa, who is now the voice of the San Francisco 49ers, was on location covering joint practices between the Niners and the Raiders. Lund alleged that Vegas staff put restrictions on Papa’s access and tore into the team for not letting go of a feud from several years ago.
Lund’s comments on Papa & Lund were posted across the station’s social media channels last Thursday but were quickly deleted.
No reason for deleting the rant was given by KNBR, but Awful Announcing pointed out that a couple Raiders reporters stated that the situation with Papa wasn’t what Lund made it out to be.
Papa hasn’t addressed any alleged unfair treatment publicly.
