94WIP midday host Hugh Douglas is in mourning following the death of his son Hugh over the weekend.
The younger Douglas and his Morehouse College roommate Christion Files Jr. were killed in a car accident in suburban Atlanta on Monday.
According to police, the vehicle Douglas and Files Jr. were in veered off the road, struck two utility poles and overturned. Both men died at the scene.
Both Douglas and Files Jr. were sophomores at Morehouse pursuing business degrees.
The elder Douglas was in Atlanta, hosting the morning show on 92.9 The Gane, from 20015 until earlier this year when he returned to Philadelphia to be a part of 94WIP’s new midday show with Joe Giglio.
He spent most of Tuesday sharing photos of his son on social media. That night, he posted a message thanking listeners and fans for their support and understanding.
