The Philadelphia Phillies ended the season for the Atlanta Braves last night. 97.5 The Fanatic morning host John Kincade took issue with some statements about the series from ESPN’s Mike Greenberg.
Early Friday morning, Kincade shared before his program that he heard comments from Greenberg on ESPN Radio, and couldn’t disagree more with the sentiments he heard.
Greenberg was “describing teams upsetting the ‘better’ teams that couldn’t prove it as ‘illegitimate’,” according to Kincade.
“Such a joke. Completely ignoring the Astros somehow succeeding,” wrote Kincade. “Some teams handle pressure, others don’t. So weak.”
Kincade’s comments came after a week of jokingly sparring with 680 The Fan’s Matt Chernoff on social media. Kincade spent a large portion of his career in both Atlanta and Philadelphia, leading to charges of “pandering” to the Philadelphia sports fan for his comments that the atmosphere in Philadelphia is better than Atlanta.
