Ahead of serving as the guest picker for College GameDay on ESPN tomorrow, Barstool Sports personality and Pardon My Take podcast co-host PFT Commenter made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Friday.
PFT Commenter, who attended James Madison University, discussed the team’s undefeated season and invigorated the crowd by criticizing the NCAA for not allowing the team to compete in the postseason despite having an undefeated record.
Despite the disappointment, fans of the Dukes came out in droves on Friday for The Pat McAfee Show and are looking to break the College GameDay attendance record on Saturday. PFT Commenter is slated to make his picks on the program and says he is leaning towards selecting James Madison University, although that has yet to be determined.
“You are the perfect guest-picker for GameDay tomorrow, and when it was announced yesterday, there was a lot of people that thought it was… a fake tweet or whatever,” McAfee said. “It’s over 12 million views. I think it’s the most-viewed post of any guest picker, and it’s because these people love you and you are an absolute legend pal.”
“I’m very thankful that ESPN is welcoming me back on the airwaves,” he said. “I’m going to double my time spent on ESPN in this one show, so I’m very proud to do that. Hopefully, I won’t get GameDay canceled – that’s my mission – that’s going to be tough to do, but I think I can handle that one.”
PFT Commenter previously hosted Barstool Van Talk with Dan “Big Cat’ Katz on ESPN in 2017, which only lasted for one episode and was subsequently canceled. Over the years, PFT Commenter has become one of Barstool Sports’ most recognizable and well-known personalities, and he is set to bring his passion for college football to James Madison University on Saturday.
