Tucker Carlson: I’d Love to Host a Debate ‘Outside the RNC’s Jurisdiction’

From MSNBC’s Kristen Welker to SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly, several news media members have co-moderated the Republican primary debate. Furthermore, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson would like to be hosting a debate.

However, there’s a catch. Carlson won’t want to host a debate if it falls under the Republican National Committee. In a recent interview, the new head of the Tucker Carlson Network expressed his feelings about the RNC.

“Oh, gosh, of course, I would,” Carlson said. “Of course, I would. Yeah, that sounds fun as hell. I absolutely would. I mean, it would, I think, have to be outside the RNC’s jurisdiction, and that would be good.

“I mean, by the way, if any, I don’t know how many people are on this call, but if anyone present can see a purpose for the RNC to continue to exist, just shoot me a text because I’d love to…..The RNC is like NATO, you know, it has no reason for being. It only consumes resources and says annoying things and breaks things, but there’s sort of no reason to have it. You know what I mean?”

After NewsNation hosted the most recent debate, CNN is one of the next networks to serve as host. The three-letter network will host two debates next month as the country enters a presidential election year.
