FOX News’ Neil Cavuto decided to have some dark humor fun to end the Thursday edition of Your World with Neil Cavuto. The anchor read a couple of mean letters and “nice” notes aimed at him and the show.
Nonetheless, Cavuto took a more serious tone after reading a letter that had nothing to do with the show and instead went after the health battles he’s gone through over the years.
Cavuto started by saying that while his health battles have piled up, they’ve allowed him to look at life from a different perspective.
“It is true; physical things have a way of piling up, and they do teach you a thing or two about the fragility of life and how you might want to comport yourself in life,” Cavuto said. “I don’t believe in mean or nasty. I don’t believe in shouting or screaming. I do believe we all share this precious planet for a brief time. Let’s try to do so with dignity.”
Furthermore, the FOX News anchor noted that his health battles haven’t turned him into a bitter person who’s mad at the world.
“That is why I value my ailments, as weird as it sounds,” Cavuto added. “I might be sick sometimes, but I never let it get me to be angry all the time. Ailments do that. Realizing the limitations of life do that. They teach you about something more important than anything I’m doing here. They teach you to be human.”
