Steak Shapiro: I’ve Never Been Part of a Station Like 92.9 The Game

Steak Shapiro has been a radio host in Atlanta for nearly 30 years, and has seen many highs during his tenure. However, he believes he’s in newfound territory with 92.9 The Game.

Shapiro guest hosted Dukes and Bell alongside regular co-host Mike Bell Thursday, and shared that he’s never been a part of a station that has seen the successes that 92.9 The Game has.

“There’s never been a station with these kind of numbers and ratings ever and it’s not even close. And there’s a lot of reasons,” Shapiro said. “We have the best talent assembled. Great teams. You got the Hawks, Atlanta United, Atlanta Falcons, all big conversations. Always have great years. Oh, three teams are not that great years, but they’re great brands to have on your radio station. And it’s just a diverse mix.”

Steak Shapiro continued by noting the show before him Thursday included former NFL tight end Randy McMichael and Andy Bunker which showcases the diversity in the station’s lineup and opinions.

Mike Bell mentioned that he had seen the latest sports radio ratings, calling the performance of 92.9 The Game the best in the Southeast.
