WBZ NewsRadio is shifting Chaiel Schaffel from a news writer to a news reporter role at the Boston all-news station.
In a post to X, Schaffel revealed he would be moving to the news reporter role in a full-time capacity.

“I’m thrilled to share that next week, I’ll be moving behind the mic and starting my new job as a full-time reporter for WBZ NewsRadio,” wrote Schaffel. “I cannot stress enough how deeply grateful I am to my bosses for taking a chance on me and my dear friends in the WBZ newsroom, who taught me everything I know and have had my back with full-throated support at every step. This place is stuffed with the sharpest people anywhere.”
Schaffel has served as a news writer at WBZ NewsRadio since October 2020.
