Howie Carr: Where Was Media Coverage of Violent Protests at the White House?

A protest against President Joe Biden and his support of Israel in the face of attacks from Hamas happened this weekend. However, Howie Carr contends if you watch network news, you’d have no idea.

During The Howie Carr Show Monday, the Boston-based host questioned why other protests — namely the January 6th Insurrection and protests following the death of George Floyd — received so much press, while this received so little.

“Fox covered it. Newsmax covered it. But you want to know how the networks covered this ‘mostly peaceful’ protest, where they had to evacuate all the staff and all the reporters? ABC? Nothing on Saturday night, nothing on Good Morning America, ABC This Week, or World News Tonight. CBS? A brief report on the daytime, less violent portion of the march. This was Saturday. On Saturday’s weekend news? Nothing,” Carr said. “On Saturday morning, Face the Nation, or Sunday weekend news? Nothing. NBC? Nothing on Nightly News or Meet the Press.

“I’m shocked,” Carr said, sarcastically. “But yet they still treat January 6, like it was Pearl Harbor, 9/11, and Fort Sumter all rolled into one but they don’t cover it.”

Thousands of pro-Palestinian protests marched toward the White House Saturday, while those inside the White House were “relocated” to safe places during the demonstrations.
