MSNBC featured extensive post-Caucus coverage from Iowa Monday evening, including analysis from primetime host Rachel Maddow. Her performance didn’t receive rave reviews from 770 KTTH host Jason Rantz, however.
During a discussion that centered around former President Donald Trump’s victory in the state, Maddow argued that many members of the modern Republican Party have welcomed fringe and extremists to help shape policy for the political right. She continued by noting those people compel Trump to push toward more extreme beliefs and policies, which Maddow denounced.
In response, Jason Rantz posted a video to X of Maddow’s comments, questioning her read on the situation.
“Rachel Maddow is having a breakdown after Donald Trump wins in Iowa,” Rantz wrote. “She went on a weird and unhinged monologue about a conspiracy to install a fascist government. Or something.”
