A conspiracy theory claiming the Pentagon has rigged Super Bowl LVIII for the Kansas City Chiefs as part of a ploy to allow Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce to endorse President Joe Biden has made the rounds in conservative media circles. SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly questioned the theory and those spreading it.

“Literally people believe this people on the right who I like and respect are pushing this,” The Megyn Kelly Show host said. She then read off a tweet from former Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who peddled the conspiracy by saying the relationship between Swift and Kelce was “an artificially culturally propped up couple”.

Kelly continued by adding “Others have been even more explicit saying this is all one big psyop against us.”

The former cable news host then questioned why the voting habits or political preferences of someone like Taylor Swift are even a story on conservative radio.

“I don’t understand why people are so afraid of her,” Megyn Kelly said. “People are acting like Taylor Swift holds the key to the Presidency. Why are people living in fear of this?”
