We’re still four months away from the 2024 BNM Summit in Washington D.C.. This year’s conference takes place on September 4-5 at the beautiful Jack Morton Auditorium at George Washington University. If you work in the media business and wish to attend, click here to purchase your ticket.
I previously announced 14 speakers for this year’s show. As we do with all of our events, we add to the lineup as we go. By the time we reach the nation’s capital in September, we’ll have a full room and roughly 40-50 top-notch professionals gracing our stage. We bill this event as a 16-hour masterclass on the media industry. Fortunately we’ve delivered on that promise at past shows. I spend months creating this event because I want it to provide value and professional benefits for all in attendance. Whether you’re a CEO, Market Manager, Program Director, Talent, Agent, Producer, Salesperson or Media Buyer, there’s something here for everyone.
To make sure we’re addressing the industry’s most pressing issues, I’ve asked four accomplished executives to join us in September.
First, I am excited to welcome Futuri Media CEO Daniel Anstandig as our Day 1 Keynote speaker. The rise of artificial intelligence is a big topic in media circles. Daniel knows the space better than anyone. I asked him to help our attendees understand the value of AI and how it can benefit news/talk outlets. After seeing his presentation at the NAB Show, and thinking about our attendees who don’t get to see or hear him speak, I knew we had to bring both sides together.
Daniel’s session is titled AI in Media: Consumer Insights and the 3-Year Horizon. He’ll reveal exclusive insights from a nationwide survey on consumer perceptions of AI in media, and share what excites and concerns audiences, and how media companies can build trust around AI. A bold 3-year forecast for AI in media, emerging trends, and relaying practical strategies for harnessing forthcoming innovations while keeping the human touch will also be provided.
You’ll walk away with a stronger understanding of how consumers view AI in media, what the near future holds, and how to position your organization for success in the AI age. The session will take place on day 1 from 11:20am-12:00pm. You won’t want to miss it.
We also have three more accomplished executives joining us in D.C. to help educate the room. Longtime industry friend and Audacy New York Market President Chris Oliviero will make his first appearance at the BNM Summit. Chris has been with us at our sports summit’s in NYC previously, and always adds value on stage. As the leader of a cluster which operates WINS and WCBS, two of the higher performing brands in the format from a ratings and revenue standpoint, he’ll have plenty to offer related to the format.
Speaking of revenue, does any group do a better job than the Radio Advertising Bureau? Well, if we’re going to have discussions about dollars and cents, who better to have in the room than the RAB’s brand new CEO, Mike Hulvey. In addition to his work with the RAB, Michael has also been a radio CEO, previously leading Neuhoff Media. He’ll put that experience to use during one of our business sessions.
Last but certainly not least, I’m pleased to have John Sylvester joining us at the 2024 BNM Summit. The VP of Fox News Radio, John has witnessed our sports summit but this will be his first visit to our news conference. With nearly twenty years invested working with the biggest names in news/talk radio, I’m looking forward to having John lend his expertise to help make the room smarter.
I’m elated to add these four talented gentlemen to the show, but also equally ecstatic to announce two new partners. We are excited to welcome Collette as our exclusive sponsor of the BNM Summit After Party, and Westwood One as a Session sponsor. We’ve received tremendous support from our friends in the business community for this conference. It makes a difference, and we appreciate it. There are sponsorships still available, but they are moving faster than any other event we’ve hosted. To explore a Summit partnership, email Stephanie at Sales@BarrettSportsMedia.com.
The additions of Daniel Anstandig, Mike Hulvey, Chris Oliviero, and John Sylvester bring us to 18 speakers for September’s event. We have much more still to come including details of our very first awards ceremony. If you want to pitch a speaker for the show, I’m open to ideas. However, please understand that I can’t get everyone in. Our focus is on growing ratings, reach, relevance, revenue, and exploring areas that best serve format decision makers.
In the meantime, purchase your ticket, reserve your hotel room, and I’ll see you in September!
