Earlier this year, WWE and new parent company TKO Group Holdings announced a partnership where WWE Monday Night Raw would air exclusively on Netflix beginning in January 2025 in a 10-year, $5 billion deal. The current agreement WWE has in place with NBCUniversal was to expire in October, leaving three months to account for.
As TKO released its first quarter earnings report this week, it included a new 3-month agreement that had been worked out between the company and NBCU to keep the show on USA Network through the end of the year.
“WWE entered into a $25 million domestic media rights agreement with NBCUniversal for Raw to remain on USA Network for the fourth quarter of 2024,” a company release said.
With the agreement, the company raised its guidance on revenue projections and “now expects full year 2024 revenue of $2.610 billion – $2.685 billion and Adjusted EBITDA of $1.185 billion – $1.205 billion.”
Monday Night Raw averaged 733K total viewers among P18-49, up six percent versus the year prior in the first quarter of 2024. Raw ranked No. 1 among P18-49 audiences on Monday cable for nine of the 13 weeks of the quarter.
