Mike Gallagher: I’m No Longer Going to Play Clips From CNN

CNN has been in the crosshairs of many conservative media members after Kasie Hunt ended an interview with Karoline Leavitt — the national press secretary for the Trump campaign — prematurely Monday morning. Nationally syndicated radio host Mike Gallagher says he won’t play clips from the network any longer.

During The Mike Gallagher Show Tuesday, the Salem Radio Network host said he had actually made the decision to no longer air any snippets from the cable news channel awhile ago, but the interaction between Hunt and Leavitt only reinforced his stance.

“I issued an edict a couple of weeks ago. Emperor Mike decided to issue a mandate from his throne. I don’t want to play any more clips from CNN because, frankly, all it does is infuriate me,” Gallagher shared.

However, he added that continuing with that edict could potentially be a negative for him and his audience. He believes its important to showcase what he viewed as dishonesty from a major media outlet.

“On the other hand, you’ve got to know what we’re up against. You have to be aware of the rigged, uneven playing field,” he shared.

“If the stakes weren’t so high, this would be comedy,” Gallagher later said. “This would be like some satirical movie.”
