For the 27th consecutive month, ESPN Digital was No.1 in the U.S Sports category in the month of May. Their data shows they reached 100 million unique fans in the month. When ESPN Digital is added to YouTube and the ESPN social platforms, ESPN reached 166.9 million unique fans, which is about two-thirds of all adults in the United States.
Continuing the domination in the digital space, the ESPN app was No. 1 in the mobile sports app category with 23.3 million unique fans. On YouTube alone, ESPN had 786 million minutes viewed in the month, which is up 63% year over year. The ESPN YouTube page currently has 12.1 million subscribers.
On the social side, ESPN social topped the sports category for the 35th straight month and generated more than 660 million engagements.
