Since Craig Carton joined FOX Sports two years ago to host The Carton Show, the program has been presented in various iterations. Over the last several months, Carton has worked alongside a panel of various analysts, including Willie Colon, Tim Hardaway Sr. and LeSean McCoy. Additionally, David Jacoby, former co-host of Jalen & Jacoby on ESPN, started working on the program in the same role after initially serving as a producer. Michelle Beadle, the host of Run It Back for FanDuel TV and co-host on SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio’s Beadle and Decker, is now reportedly in serious talks to join The Carton Show in a co-hosting role, according to a report from Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post.
No deal has been finalized, and it remains unclear if it would lead to an alteration in the assemblage of talent working on the program. Beadle started hosting on SiriusXM last year with Cody Decker, who was the co-host of The Carton Show during its first year airing on FS1. Outside of these ventures, she is a co-host of a Wondery podcast with Peter Rosenberg. It remains unclear if her other roles would be affected if she were to join FS1.
Beadle previously worked on ESPN’s NBA coverage as host of NBA Countdown and also spent time hosting Get Up with Mike Greenberg. She also co-hosted a podcast with The Athletic and has contributed to local television broadcasts for the San Antonio Spurs.
Adding Beadle to the FS1 lineup would signify another change as Skip Bayless reportedly exits from Undisputed and the network. Future plans for that program, including whether or not it continues with its current branding, are reportedly still taking shape. Moreover, there are reportedly plans to expand both Speak and First Things First, the latter of which is co-hosted by Kevin Wildes, with whom she worked while at ESPN. Beadle also worked with FS1 executives Charlie Dixon and Whit Albohm on the show, which she co-hosted with FS1 host and founder of The Volume, Colin Cowherd.
FS1 is currently distributed to 67.9 million homes, a number that has declined because of augmented rates of cord cutting in the United States. FOX Sports is set to embark on another year of National Football League broadcasts and will also continue to show Big Ten Football games and the Major League Baseball postseason in the fall.
