The Joe Rogan Experience has been one of the more popular podcasts in America for years. But the podcast launched by Tucker Carlson has eclipsed the comedian in the Spotify rankings.
On the Spotify podcast charts, The Tucker Carlson Show is now the second most-listened-to podcast. The Joe Rogan Experience has dropped to third, with both shows finishing behind Spotify video podcast Call Her Daddy, hosted by Alex Cooper.
The surge to second overall in the rankings has been an impressive one by the former Fox News host. The podcast hosted by Carlson didn’t launch until December of last year. Meanwhile, the show hosted by Rogan began in 2009, giving it more than a decade head-start on Carlson’s show.
While Carlson had moved past Rogan on the overall podcast chart, three episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience — shows with Bridget Phetasy, Jordan Peterson, and Sam Morril — were in the top five episode charts. The top individual episode from Carlson was his conversation with Jack Posobiec, which placed eighth in the latest rankings.
Rogan’s program is distributed by Spotify, after the two sides agreed to a reported $250 million extension for his show earlier this year.
Other news media podcasts in the top 10 of the company’s rankings include Pod Save America (#5), The Dan Bongino Show (#7), Candance by Candace Owens (#8), and The Daily from The New York Times (#10).
