James Carville has been a cable news political analyst for decades. But his longevity is surpassed by Fox News host Sean Hannity, who Carville commended Thursday.
Before appearing on Hannity, Carville gave the host props for his staying power in an ever-changing cable news world.
“Before we get started and get down to the nitty-gritty, I just want to say something. I respect your longevity and your relevance. I may not agree with you, but I’ve seen a lot of pretenders and a lot of contenders come through Fox News over this century, and no one has been more relevant and survived longer than you have, so hats off to you.”
Hannity laughed at the commendation from the prominent Democratic strategist. He chuckled as he said, “I don’t know what that means.”
“We’ve also had fun, but we don’t agree. We just don’t,” Hannity said of his political stances compared to Carville’s.
Sean Hannity has hosted a program on Fox News since its inception in 1996.
