Megyn Kelly: YouTube Viewers of My SiriusXM Show ‘Definitely Glean’ More From Conversations By Seeing Me

"With the news what it is these days, sometimes an eye-roll, forehead slap, or pen-throw is absolutely required.”

Megyn Kelly has seen her SiriusXM show grow into a massive digital presence on YouTube, and she believes she knows why.

While speaking with Semafor’s Max Tani about the success of her program on YouTube — which featured more views than CBS News and NBC News last month — the former Fox News host said the familiarity her audience has with watching her commentary lends to more people consuming her content in that manner.

“On-camera is how people are used to getting their news from me, so it likely feels familiar,” said Kelly.

She continued by noting that there is something lost by those only listening on SiriusXM or to her podcast due to her boisterous nature of delivering her monologues and opinions.

“I am also half Italian, half Irish, so if you choose to watch the show, you will definitely glean something from the hand gestures and facial expressions that you might not always pick up on from listening alone,” she added. “With the news what it is these days, sometimes an eye-roll, forehead slap, or pen-throw is absolutely required.”

According to Tani, The Megyn Kelly Show saw 116.8 million views on YouTube during July, which bested the aforementioned NBC News and CBS News, as well as other organizations like CNBC, BBC News, and Sky News, among others.
