Big 12 Radio, a partnership between the Big 12 Conference and streaming audio platform TuneIn, launched Tuesday morning.
The new TuneIn station is available on the platform’s app as well as more than 200 other connected devices.
“Big 12 Radio brings fans closer than ever to their favorite teams with unrivaled access to coaches and players through exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes content,” said TuneIn CEO Rich Stern. “We are committed to delivering top-tier sports coverage that ensures Big 12 fans will get the most in-depth coverage of their favorite conference on Big 12 Radio. This station is the closest you can get to being on the ground for game day at a Big 12 school.”
Included in the station’s lineup is Big 12 Today, a weekday morning show hosted by Ari Temkin and James Westling. The show will stream live from 8-11 AM ET. The station will also feature a pre-game show — Big 12 Gameday — from 9 AM-Noon ET each Saturday before the conference’s slate of games.
The new streaming station will also offer team-specific content from the league’s members, as well as play-by-play broadcasts from a variety of sports. Other content initiatives include coaches’ shows, team podcasts, athlete interviews, classic game replays, and themed music programming, as well.
“We are thrilled to partner with TuneIn and expand the reach and narrative of our league,” said Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark. “This partnership will deliver the great brands of the Big 12 directly to fans across the country through exclusive Big 12 content, game broadcasts, original programming, and more.”
