YouTube has become a content giant in a short amount of time. OutKick founder and nationally syndicated radio host Clay Travis is still marveling and examining the platform’s success.
While discussing his reaction to the ABC News Presidential debate from Tuesday evening, Clay Travis shared on social media that OutKick has almost 2 million subscribers on the Google-owned platform. That led him to remark it’s “truly staggering to see what a giant” the video platform has become.
“I’m fascinated by the growth of YouTube,” he shared. “My own kids — 16, 13, and 9 — spend all their time there. The only time they watch TV is with me. They have no concept of ‘TV channels’, don’t know TV channels for CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, ESPN, or FS1. It’s all YouTube for them.”
According to recent metrics, YouTube has 2.49 billion monthly active users.
I agree it’s totally amazing. I think we need to be able to adjust to this. Too many of our generation have fought against it.
