Jay Michaels said, “To have the opportunity to launch the very first Rock/Alternative station in Jackson is such a huge game-changer, as we bring back iconic artists like Weezer, Linkin Park, Nirvana, Cranberries, and blink-182, plus new rock from Shinedown, Noah Kahan, Twenty-One Pilots and more. [W]e are locally owned and programmed with all the media tools, air talent, and work environment to have a wildly successful station.”

Jan Michaels, OM, added, “There was a huge void in the Jackson market for this format, and we have the right staff in place now to pull off this endeavor. We are so fired up about launching Rock 93.1 and bringing this station to Rock/Alt fans in Central Mississippi.”
