Jim Rome continues to grow his distribution for The Jim Rome Show. Rome added his show to the X platform at the end of May and now he has announced a Jim Rome FAST channel. The acronym stands for Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television.
As Rome explained, “It’s a form of streaming that delivers programming similar to cable, satellite, or traditional TV, except it’s totally free…It’s another way to watch this show every Monday through Friday.
Rome said the show had already started the streaming on several different outlets. He then named the partners they are launching with. Those include Samsung TV+, Amazon Prime Video, Vizio, LG and Plex.
“We’re debuting with five platforms,” he said. “The idea is to put the product in as many places as possible, in front of as many of you as possible, and this is an enormous development for the brand, right? So that in and of itself is awesome.”
Then, Rome gave the audience some even bigger news, which was that as part of this entry into the FAST world, he is creating a fourth hour that will be exclusively aired on the FAST channels. It will also have a co-host.
“What makes this different?” he asked. “Ready for it? I’m doing it with a co-host. Pretty much for the first time ever. I’ve been doing this thing by myself, standalone…I’ve been a single host, talk show host for so many years. Now I have a co-host, and that co-host is former NFLer Will Blackmon…He’s currently an assistant coach at Boston College. So, he and I are gonna chop it up every single day, Monday through Friday.”
Rome then added, “Let me be clear. I am not slowing down. I am doubling down.”
