CBS Sports drew 6.3 million viewers for its Big 10 matchup between USC and Michigan this past Saturday. The game aired in the 3:30 p.m. ET window and the audience size made it the most-watched college football game of the week on any network.
The matchup featured two ranked teams who have a lot of history, but this was a Big 10 conference game which is still strange to say for many sports fans out west. Michigan, ranked 18th coming into the game, knocked off USC, who came in ranked 11th, by the score of 27-24.
The game peaked with more than ten million viewers and was the most-watched 3:30 p.m. ET Week 4 game on CBS in 10 years, up 37% over last year’s Ole Miss-Alabama game in the same slot.
Additionally, CBS says Paramount+ delivered its most-streamed September college football game ever.
