Megyn Kelly Marks 4th Anniversary of SiriusXM Show

"I really didn't know whether anybody at all would be interested in listening to the show, and I'm just so grateful to you all for making it clear that some people would."

Megyn Kelly is celebrating the anniversary of her SiriusXM program that debuted four years ago this week by looking back at her first episode.

The Megyn Kelly Show launched on September 28th, 2020 as an audio-only program from a small desk in her children’s playroom. In the four years since it’s debut, the SiriusXM show has added a video simulcast that now features more than 2.5 million subscribers on YouTube. It has also grown to be one of the top podcasts in America. According to Triton Digital, it is the 10th largest podcast in the country — regardless of genre — by weekly average downloads.

While commemorating her anniversary, Kelly admitted she was slightly apprehensive about the move but has appreciation for the audience she’s built.

“I really didn’t know whether anybody at all would be interested in listening to the show, and I’m just so grateful to you all for making it clear that some people would,” said Kelly. “(Knowing) that I could do the news honestly and without fear and make a living at it and be a voice, I hope that speaks reason in a sea of dishonesty, obfuscation, and gaslighting, which defines our media today … I’m very grateful.”

Kelly noted that Glenn Greenwald was the first guest on her show. She continued by adding that he’s also been the most frequent guest, which she believes embodies her philosophy on the program.

“I love Glenn. We disagree on some things. We agree on some things. I totally respect him and his intellect. He’s always an interesting conversation. And that’s that’s the essence of the show, agree or disagree. That’s how I feel about all of you. Agree or disagree isn’t really the point. The point is to share facts. I’ll offer my opinion, as you know, about a lot of (topics). You may reject my opinion, totally fine, but I think we’re all on the team of sanity. We’re not so far gone that we’re totally outlandish and we’re lying to ourselves in the name of advancing our political agendas. So, in any event, thank you.”
