Fox News has announced Bret Baier will sit down with Vice President Kamala Harris for an exclusive interview this week, marking the first time she’ll interview with the network.

The interview on Fox News will air during Special Report with Bret Baier on Wednesday, October 16th at 6 PM ET. Baier’s sit down with Harris will air the same day the network has a town hall with Republican nominee Donald Trump that will be centered on the top issues facing female voters. That town hall event will be broadcast during The Faulkner Focus at 11 AM ET.

Baier will conduct the interview from Pennsylvania, where Harris will be campaigning. He’ll then anchor the evening program from that location.

The interview will mark the first formal sit-down session with the network Vice President Harris has ever conducted.

Kamala Harris appearing on Fox News for an interview with Bret Baier comes on the heels of the network offering a last-chance debate opportunity for her and Donald Trump at the end of October. Baier was the proposed moderator for the event alongside Martha MacCallum. However, the Trump campaign turned down the chance for an additional debate. Baier had previously insinuated that Trump, not Harris, was the sticking point in the network landing an additional debate.

After the proposed debate fell through, Harris accepted a town hall event with CNN. That televised event will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd, with Anderson Cooper serving as moderator.
