Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is a weekly guest with 105.3 The Fan hosts Shan Shariff and RJ Choppy. For now, anyway, after he threatened to no longer appear with the Audacy Dallas hosts.

During his weekly segment with Shan & RJ on Tuesday morning, Jones grew agitated by the line of questioning from the hosts after a disastrous 47-9 loss at home against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Shariff asked about why the Dallas Cowboys didn’t make more moves during the offseason, Jones shot back.

“This is not your job. Your job isn’t to let me go over all the reasons that I did something and I’m sorry that I did it. That’s not your job. I’ll get somebody else to ask these questions,” Jones said as Shan Shariff and RJ Choppy chuckled. He did not take kindly to the laughter.

“I’m not kidding,” he said, sternly. “You’re not going to figure out what the team is doing right or wrong. If you are, or any five or 10 like you, you need to come to this (NFL) meeting I’m going to today with 32 teams here, (because) you’re geniuses.

“Y’all really think you’re gonna sit here with a microphone and tell me all of the things that I’ve done wrong without going over the rights?” Jones continued. “Now, listen, we both know we’re talking to a lot of great fans, a lot of great listeners. And I’m very sorry for what happened out there Sunday. I’m sick about what happened Sunday.”

Jones then said he was addressing fans with his comments and not the “yahoos” at 105.3 The Fan.

When RJ Choppy attempted to clarify what Jones was saying later in the interview, he said “So you’re saying…” before Jerry Jones cut him off by saying “I’m saying what I’m saying. Don’t tell me what I’m saying. Listen to what I’m saying.”

Shan Shariff then questioned the Dallas Cowboys owner.

“Why are you getting so mad at us? We’re just asking you why the blowouts are happening … we’re just asking, on behalf of the fans, and you’re getting real ticked off and mad at us,” the 105.3 The Fan host said.

“I don’t get mad at people I can not be with if I don’t want to be with. I don’t get mad,” Jerry Jones said. “You’re asking me for a response, and I’m giving a response.”
