CBS News Sunday political affairs program Face the Nation has bested Meet the Press, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, and Fox News Sunday in the latest ratings battle.
On Sunday, November 3rd, the CBS News show led by Margaret Brennan featured an average audience of 3 million viewers for the final Face the Nation before the 2024 election.
That narrowly defeated ABC News’ This Week, which saw an audience of 2.8 million. Meet the Press — moderated by Kristen Welker — saw an average of 2.5 million. Fox News Sunday — helmed by Shannon Bream — saw just under 1.1 million viewers, according to Nielsen.
The ratings surge for the CBS News program comes after Brennan co-moderated the Vice Presidential Debate for the network in October. That special program was watched by more than 40 million viewers.
Face the Nation also led the coveted Adults 25-54 demographic. 558,000 viewers from that demo watched CBS News on Sunday. 544,000 watched Meet the Press, with This Week featuring an average audience of 527,000 and Fox News Sunday seeing 270,000 from the demo.
