For the first time, Diamond Sports Group has announced it will offer a single-game pricing option for NBA and NHL direct-to-consumer offerings. Beginning Dec. 5, DSG’s FanDuel Sports Networks will offer streaming options at $6.99 per game. Fans will also continue to have monthly and season long options as well.
There are 13 NBA teams whose fans will be able to take advantage of this option. Those teams are the Orland Magic, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, Charlotte Hornets, Minnesota Timberwolves, San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
For hockey, DSG holds the rights to eight teams who will have the per-game pricing. Those teams at the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings, LA Kings, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Diamond Sports Group is potentially nearing the end of its 20-month bankruptcy proceedings. A hearing to either confirm or deny their reorganization plan is scheduled for later this week.
“The addition of single-game pricing allows fans to now catch their local NBA and NHL teams on a game-by-game basis, enhancing the flexibility of our offering,” FanDuel Sports Network COO, direct-to-consumer Michael Schneider said in a release. “This is yet another example of how we remain committed to delivering an array of viewing options and features to make it easier for our viewers to watch their favorite teams.”
