Gee Scott Sr. has become a fixture on Seattle radio at KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM. Today, he is celebrating his 10th anniversary with the station.
In a post on X, Scott shared the excitement that today marks his 10th year with the Bonneville International news/talk station, a milestone he could have only ever dreamed of.
“Today I celebrate year 10 at my job. I embarked on a path filled with dreams, challenges, and opportunities, and I can confidently say that this journey has transformed me in ways I never imagined,” Scott wrote. “I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented and dope people who have for sure laced me with the game needed to be better in this space.”
Scott began his radio career after previously working as an automobile detailer with the Seattle Seahawks. He also previously hosted a program on Seattle Sports 710 before shifting to his role with KIRO.
He added that his longevity is as much a milestone for KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM as it is for him.
“I mean, 10 years is not just a number; it’s a testament to the commitment and belief that this organization has for me. Reflecting on the past decade, I am grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to grow both personally and professionally. I’ve learned from challenges and for sure celebrated success.”
Gee Scott Sr. hosts Gee & Ursula alongside Ursula Reutin from 10 AM-2 PM on KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM.
