Longtime news/talk radio programmer Peter Thiele is joining Zimmer Communications as its new news/talk radio format captain.
In his new role, Thiele will have oversight of the Missouri news/talk outlets KWOS in Jefferson City, 93.9 The Eagle in Columbia, and KWTO in Springfield.
Thiele will be based in Columbia as he assumes his new role. It is a return to the company for Peter Thiele, as he previously served as Program Director and morning show host at KRZG in Joplin for Zimmer Communications.
Most recently, he had served as the Director of Spoken Word Programming for iHeartMedia Des Moines, overseeing news/talk 1040 WHO and sports station 1460 KXNO. He exited that post in July of last year.
Thiele has led stations in New York City, San Francisco, Little Rock, Greenville, and Huntsville in addition to his roles in Des Moines and Joplin. Additionally, he worked at stations in Minneapolis and San Antonio in a variety of roles.
