U.S. Soccer, Westwood One Agree to English-Language Audio Rights Deal

"We look forward to amplifying the excitement of U.S. Soccer across our network for many years to come."

Westwood One has inked a multiyear media rights agreement for it to serve as the new domestic English-language audio partner of U.S. Soccer. The partnership gives the audio entity the broadcast rights to all matches hosted by the U.S. Soccer Federation, which includes USWNT and USMNT friendlies, Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal games and the SheBelieves Cup. The first broadcast under this new partnership will be taking place on Thursday night as the USWNT faces Colombia at 8 p.m. EST.

“The addition of U.S. Soccer to our Westwood One Sports platform is an exciting milestone for us. Bringing both the men’s and women’s national team programming to our listeners enhances our commitment to delivering world-class sports coverage,” Collin Jones, president of Westwood One and executive vice president of corporate strategy and development at Cumulus Media, said in a statement. “This partnership not only provides fans with unparalleled access to the action on the pitch but also creates valuable opportunities for our advertisers to connect with a passionate and engaged audience. We look forward to amplifying the excitement of U.S. Soccer across our network for many years to come.”

As part of this new partnership, U.S. Soccer is launching a new podcast series that will bring insights and access surrounding its senior national teams, youth national teams and extended national teams. This podcast will feature various interviews from across the soccer landscape amid the country, focusing on how U.S. Soccer is growing the game and highlighting forthcoming events. Westwood One will serve as the home of these podcasts on radio and audio platforms in the United States through 2030.
