The Cumulus Podcast Network recently lost Dan Bongino as he moved to the FBI. But during the February rankings from Triton Digital, he and Shawn Ryan saw top finishes.
During the month of February, The Dan Bongino Show finished third in the Top Podcasts by Weekly Average Downloads. The only programs above it in the category were NPR News Now and Up First from NPR. The February rankings from Triton Digital go through March 2nd, so it is conceivable that Dan Bongino could finish the month of March in a similar position despite ending his show on Friday, March 14th to become the Deputy Director of the FBI.
Joining Dan Bongino in the top five was fellow Cumulus Podcast Network program The Shawn Ryan Show. It earned fifth place in the category. Overall, the top six shows remained unchanged from the January rankings, as 48 Hours from CBS News finished in sixth place.
The Charlie Kirk Show from Salem Media Group dropped one position down to ninth. The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show was 14th overall, with a trio of programs from NPR — Consider This from NPR, Indicator from Planet Money, and Planet Money — finishing 15th through 17th on the charts.
Two news programs were the top movers in the overall rankings. Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar jumped nine positions to 29th, while Verdict with Ted Cruz moved up 11 positions to finish the month in 34th.
In the Top Sales Networks By Weekly Average Download sector, the top five spots were unchanged as iHeart Audience Network, NPR, Audacy Podcast Network, Audioboom, and Cumulus Podcast Network finished in the exact order as they did in January.
Triton Digital shared that Paramount experienced data collection issues during the month of February and was temporarily excluded from the rankings. That led Salem Podcast Network (6th), Soundrise (7th), American Public Media Group (8th), All Things Comedy (9th), and CBC/Radio-Canada (10th) to move up in the February rankings.
