CNN has announced the appointment of Avery Miller to serve as the new Executive Producer of The Lead with Jake Tapper.
Avery Miller joins CNN after previously serving as a Senior Producer for the CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell. She joined CBS News in 2021 to serve as a Senior Producer for Face the Nation.
Miller has plenty of television experience before her tenure at CBS News. Previously, she spent more than 20 years working at ABC News.
During her tenure, she served on staffs producing ABC’s Sunday political affairs show This Week with Sam Donaldson and Cokie Roberts. Additionally, she worked as a producer for ABC World News Tonight with David Muir.
The move comes as The Lead with Jake Tapper moves in the network’s lineup from its previous 4 PM ET timeslot to 5 PM ET. Additionally, Tapper’s daily program has expanded from one hour to two in the CNN lineup.
