The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and Elon Musk has been a hot topic in the political world. Fox News anchor Bret Baier will sit down Musk and members of the team on Thursday.
During his nightly Special Report, Baier will feature a discussion with Elon Musk and seven members of the DOGE team at 6 PM ET. The interview will be the first time that those included in the group attempting to find waste, fraud, and abuse inside government funding have taken part in a group interview. Additionally, Baier plans to examine the findings made by DOGE during the interview, a statement from the network says.
The interview with Musk marks another in a long line of high-profile interviews for Bret Baier going back to the 2024 presidential election cycle.
Already in 2025, he has featured a sit-down with foreign leaders like Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin, in addition to a conversation with President Donald Trump and various cabinet members.
Special Report with Bret Baier has reaped the ratings benefits of those high-profile conversations. On the final day of February, Fox News bested NBC Nightly News and CBS Evening News in the ratings with Baier’s conversation with Zelenskyy drawing 6.4 million viewers, compared to the 5.8 million and 3.9 million viewers NBC News and CBS News saw, respectively.
