Stern added, “I do want to personally thank Wink. That guy was 91 years old delivering like that.”

He shared a message from Martindale’s manager that read, “Wink’s first love was radio, Howard, when he started as a DJ, and you gave him an opportunity to end where it all started. He truly loved radio, and he went out as a regular on the biggest show on radio.”

Here is the video from the tribute segment.

  1. Howard was not a kid when Wink hosted the revival of Tic-Tac-Dough. He may have watched it as a kid with a different host, but he didn’t watch Wink on the show until 1978 when Howard was 24 years old.

    Howard lies!
