iHeartMedia is set to launch “iHeartRadio ICONS with Bruce Springsteen, Celebrating Tracks II: The Lost Albums.” The week-long special event will air June 27-July 3 on the company’s Classic Rock and Classic Hits stations.
The stations will play one album each day in its entirety beginning at midnight local time. iHeartRadio will offer fans exclusive behind-the-scenes commentary from Bruce himself, providing deeper insights into each album. Additionally, listeners have the chance to win an autographed box set, with one lucky fan selected each day.
Springsteen told Q104.3 New York’s Jim Kerr, “I went into the vault… and I realized that these albums were basically finished. I liked them and thought that the fans would be interested in hearing them because they fill in spaces of my work life that hadn’t been filled in before. They are all different genres and a different moment in time, and I think it will give fans a good idea of what I was doing a lot of the time in the ’90s or how my creative process works.”
The series will spotlight all seven albums and all 83 tracks.
