Kevin Herring is stepping down as co-president of Triple Tigers Records, effective immediately. He will stay on as a strategic advisor, focusing on A&R and overall label strategy.
What We Know Triple Tigers Records confirmed the leadership change on July 6. Herring joined the Nashville-based label in 2017 and helped build one of country music’s most consistent rosters. The label has earned 33 RIAA Gold and Platinum certifications. Its current roster includes Russell Dickerson, Scotty McCreery, Shane Profitt, and Ian Munsick.
What They Said Herring framed the move as a personal milestone. “This is the first step toward retirement for me,” he said. “I’m grateful for the chance to step back and play a support role that allows me more control of my own schedule, including more time with my wife and grandson, while still coaching staff and fostering artists’ careers with Triple Tigers.” Founding partner George Couri added that Herring built the team responsible for the label’s record-setting No. 1 rate in country radio history.
What Remains Unclear Triple Tigers has not named a replacement for the co-president role. It also remains to be seen how Herring’s reduced involvement affects the label’s day-to-day operations. No timeline for a permanent leadership announcement has been shared.
What It Means Herring’s exit marks the end of a remarkable run at one of Nashville’s most successful independent labels. His career spans more than four decades, touching legends like Johnny Cash, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton along the way. For Triple Tigers, the transition raises real questions about sustaining its elite track record without him in the chair.
