CNN Headlines — the free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel — has relaunched with an updated programming lineup, the network has announced.
In 2024, CNN debuted a CNN Originals channel, with the FAST channel being added later, before being rebranded to the “Headlines” moniker used now.
Included in the new programming will be CNN Headline Express, anchored by Brad Smith, who joined the network in July. Additionally, a new program called ICYMI — an acronym for “In Case You Missed It” — will feature the “most newsworthy and compelling stories” from the network’s U.S. operations.
American Pulse has also been added to the lineup. That show is an hour-long dedication to reporting from network affiliates around the nation.
“The relaunch of CNN Headlines is vital to our distribution and investment strategy, and I’m proud of how hard our teams across CNN have worked to innovate in this space,” said Executive Vice President of U.S. Programming Eric Sherling. “By tapping into our vast affiliate network and providing timely live news updates, our refreshed offering serves the growing market and complements our existing cable programming.”
