WWE and The Walt Disney Company are expanding their partnership. The companies will take over ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando on December 14-15.
What We Know: The takeover features The John Cena Classic on December 14 and an Avengers: Doomsday-themed Worlds Collide on December 15. The Cena Classic, a special Netflix edition of Raw, pits main-roster stars against NXT prospects. The partnership began in 2025, when the ESPN App became the exclusive domestic home of WWE Premium Live Events for ESPN Unlimited subscribers.
What’s At Stake: The collaboration between the WWE and Disney combines both companies’ storytelling to create a landmark crossover moment for fans. Notably, WWE revealed the Cena Classic Monday on Raw, before a sold-out Barclays Center crowd in Brooklyn. For the first time, WWE fans will also help decide the night.
What Remains Unclear: Still, the companies are holding back several key details. For instance, neither side has announced matchups for either night. Additionally, organizers have not said where Worlds Collide will stream as of yet. However, both companies plan to share more event and fan experience details in the coming weeks.
What It Means: Ultimately, WWE is pairing its biggest stars with Disney’s biggest December film. Worlds Collide lands three days before Avengers: Doomsday hits U.S. theaters. Furthermore, WWE and Fanatics will stage WWE World, selling co-branded title belts there, on WWEShop.com, and in select Disney stores. As a result, the Disney relationship now reaches well beyond streaming rights.
