The settlement comes after a district court had refused to dismiss the lawsuit after Audacy had argued that the KYW anchor hadn't utilized every option available from the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.
After Audacy filed for its prepackaged bankruptcy in a Houston court, the company filed a motion for an automatic stay of MacKenzie's hearing. The court halted all proceedings on the case.
The legal action seeks a court order directing KYW to halt age discrimination and appoint an external monitor to oversee anchor and reporter pay rates for at least three years.
