The game was the most-viewed non-NFL sporting event over the past year and peaked with 26.1 million viewers during the 8:30 to 8:45 p.m. EST quarter-hour.
On Thursday night, the Capital One Orange Bowl between Notre Dame and Penn State averaged 17.8 million viewers, marking the second most-watched iteration of the contest since 2006.
The quarterfinal matchup between Notre Dame and Georgia will air on ESPN with play-by-play announcer Sean McDonough, analyst Greg McElroy and reporters Molly McGrath and Laura Rutledge.
A variety of presentations will be available, including Field Pass with The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN2 as Ohio State and Oregon face off at the Rose Bowl Game on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
