Meet the Press saw its largest audience since Kristen Welker began hosting the show with its interview with Donald Trump on Sunday.

Kristen Welker previously interviewed Donald Trump in September of last year. It was the only time he sat down for an interview with a network news organization for the duration of the 2024 election cycle.

Face the Nation on Sunday, October 13th featured a conversation with House Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA), Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL), as well as an in-studio appearance from Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.

It was also the first time NBC News took home the top spot for the first time since the 2020-2021 season.

The November debate will be the first Republican Presidential Primary event to air on a network other than Fox News or Fox Business Network.

The first edition of the show hosted by Kristen Welker was highly criticized by observers for her interview of current GOP presidential candidate frontrunner Donald Trump.
