Rome and Reiter Added at 750/102.9 The Game

750/102.9 The Game is trying something different. In a market with three sports stations, most offering live and local programming, the radio station is adding two national shows to round out its weekday lineup.

As part of the changes, Jim Rome returns to the market in middays. The afternoon slot gets turned over to CBS Sports Radio’s Bill Reiter.

To make room for Rome and Reiter, The Game has dropped its local midday show with Justin Myers and DeVon Pouncey and cancelled its plans to install a new local afternoon show. Dino Costa previously hosted afternoons before being fired in August. A number of candidates auditioned for the vacant afternoon timeslot over the past few months but the radio station ultimately decided to change direction.

The moves mean The Game’s weekday schedule will now consist of three national programs, Rome, Reiter and The Dan Patrick Show. The one local show still in place is “The Bald Faced Truth” with John Canzano which occupies the 12p-3p PT slot.
