Florida State and Virginia Tech will be in the spotlight on Labor Day for ESPN’s traditional end to the first full weekend of college football, and the network is giving the game its Megacast treatment. The traditional broadcast featuring Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit in the booth and Maria Taylor on the sidelines will air on ESPN. It is just one of six viewing options for the game.
ESPNU will offer the Command Center, which will feature multiple camera angles on one screen. ESPNews will feature the Coach’s Film Room. It is something the network has done before for College Football Playoff games. Labor Day’s edition will feature ESPN analysts and former coaches Jim Mora Jr, Mack Brown, and Gene Chizik as well as former Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze and former Arizona State head coach Todd Graham.
The most interesting broadcast for the Megacast of Florida State and Virginia Tech will be available on ESPN3. Ryan McGee and Marty Smith will be watching and commenting on the game from inside the Goodyear Blimp. It will be one of three streams available exclusively online. Adnan Virk, Joey Galloway, and Jesse Palmer will host a live edition of College Football Countdown from Tallahassee before the game.
