Sid Sports Sunday Coming to 77 WABC

77 WABC Radio will debut a new sports show on Sunday September 9. Sid Sports Sunday will be hosted by Bernie and Sid in the Morning co-host Sid Rosenberg. The two-hour show will start each Sunday at 8 am.

Craig Schawb, WABC’s program director said in a press release that “Sid Sports Sunday is the perfect extension of the Bernie and Sid in the Morning show.” It is very fan-focused and will feature fantasy picks, player interviews, and live look in’s at stadiums across the country.

Rosenberg has a long and well-chronicled history in sports radio. It includes hosting middays at WFAN and a morning show at 102.7 WNEW. He also served as the sports anchor for Don Imus’s Imus in the Morning through 2005. His show with former Imus producer Bernie McGuirk is a variety talk show.

“I’m so proud of the work we do daily on the Bernie and Sid in the Morning show. There is no better variety show in the country. But it is no secret that I wanted to get back to my roots and host a serious sports show. I want to thank Chad Lopez and Craig Schwalb for this wonderful opportunity,” Rosenberg said of the new show.

Sid Sports Sunday will replace Religion on the Line in the 8am Sunday slot. A new time for that show will be announced shortly.
