AJ Allmandinger is leaving driving behind as a full-time job. He has raced on a number of different circuits in various types of cars in his career. That is what makes him the perfect addition to the NBC Sports staff.
The network has the rights to a number of different types of auto racing, and Allmandinger will contribute to coverage of all of them. He will be a part of NBCSN’s NASCAR America studio show. He will also be the lead race analyst for the network’s coverage of the International Motorsports Association races, which move to NBCSN next year.

He is expected to be a part of NBCSN’s IndyCar coverage as well, although exactly how is unknown at this time. He spent one season on the circuit in 2013.
