Beasley Media Group has brought Fox Sports Radio back to Charlotte. The national feed will replace “94.7 Smoke,” a country/southern rock hybrid that been airing on the two frequencies.
The weekday lineup for the station comes directly from Fox Sports Radio. On the weekends the station will air the locally produced QCB Show, The Taking Dead Aim Golf Show, and the e-sports focused Checkpoint XP.
“We’re giving sports fans another great option for compelling content in our community,” Beasley Media Group Charlotte Vice President and Market Manager Bill Schoening said in a press release. It will be Charlotte’s third sports station joining WFNZ and 730 the Game.
Fox Sports Radio was last heard in Charlotte on 98.7 FM, which was a translator of iHeart Media’s WRFX HD-2 channel. It launched in 2014 and flipped to Spanish CHR two years later.
