Josh McCown Joins ESPN

It didn’t take long after announcing his retirement for Josh McCown to find a new job. The 17-year NFL veteran has landed at ESPN where he will serve as a floating studio host.

“I am excited to make the transition into broadcasting with ESPN which will allow me to still be involved with the game I love,” McCown said in a press release. “I look forward to bringing ESPN viewers the unique insights that I have gained throughout my career.”

McCown will be seen on a number of ESPN shows. He is already committed to regular appearances on NFL Live, SportsCenter, and Get Up!.

McCown’s playing career saw him play for ten different NFL teams over the course of 16 years. He also played one season in the ill-fated UFL.

“Josh knows the game and is widely respected throughout the league,” ESPN vice president for NFL studio shows, Seth Markham said. “Every quarterback room he was in as a player, he made better. Now we’re excited to welcome him to ESPN.”
