Baseball writer Jonah Keri was arrested on Thursday after allegedly assaulting his wife. He faces three counts of assault and one count of uttering a death threat.
Keri posted bail, but one of the conditions is that he stay 250 meters away from his wife. He also has 10 days to remove his property from their Montreal-area home. His next court date is in November.

As a result of the charges, Keri has been suspended by The Athletic as it gathers information about the incident.
The couple was married just over a year ago. Each of the three counts correlates to a separate incident during that time span.
Keri also contributes to Sportsnet and DraftKings. Neither company has commented on the status of his employment.
